An American Dream

Well now that I provoked you all to actually give feedback on my blog, I did a little experiment.

Many said that they didn't have time to write. I didn't get if this meant that they didn't have time to comment, or that they didn't have time to write blogs.

I then proceeded to read my previous actual post, and then comment. The whole process took me 2 minutes. It's kind of weird to me that people claim they don't have that kind of time.

Now that is assuming that they were talking about commenting. If they were talking about composing a blog, well, I'm timing this one right now. We'll see what it comes to at the end.

It's kind of undeniable that people are posting less and there are less and less comments on everyone's blog. It really doesn't take that much to do...I really enjoy this as one of the things that we do, and I would hate for it to go away. I mean, it'll always be here, but what's the point if no one uses it anymore?

But anyway, enough of that. I hope this motivated some.

Love,
Berto

P.S. Total time including editing and putting in all the pictures:

It's also good to write a blog that has interest. Those usually result in comments.

as much as i love blogs, i think the whole point is that there be no pressure to read, comment, or write one. that's what i like about it, and why i started doing it in the first place anyway. i blog because i want to say something whether it gets read or not, not because i want to entertain people. creating this little blog community is nice and i'm glad it happened, but for me it will always be around as long as i want it to, regardless of anyone else's activity. i feel you though :)

verification word: precdyne. some sort of Rx obviously.

Randi - Thanks, I don't think my blogs are interesting either.

Jebby - I agree. I was mostly getting after people for claiming they have no time. It's just that this place has seen more active days, and I really missed them. haha. But alas, what can you do?

And to me, blogs help me with my feelings of emptiness that I tend to get, and if it seems to me like it's not getting to anyone, it makes me feel more empty still. That's why having a journal never appealed to me.

Love,
Berto
